Security Statement and Internet Privacy Notices
The convenience of banking through the internet is sometimes overshadowed by concerns that your private account information could fall into the wrong hands. At Community Capital Bank, security is our top priority. To insure your security we have a firewall between the internet and our client information preventing unauthorized access as well as only communicating through web browsers that support Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 128 – bit encryption. How can you tell if your browser is secure?
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
Secure Sockets Layer provides a way for your browser to ensure that you are in fact logging on to the Community Capital Bank server and not a site that is attempting to impersonate our server. Before you log on to the Community Capital Bank server it sends our public key to your browser program. SSL lets your browser verify the identity of our server by viewing the site’s certificate. A certificate is a way of associating a public key to a name.
Data Encryption
Once SSL has authenticated the server, your browser and our server will create an individual symmetric key. This key will allow our server to communicate with your browser through encrypted transmissions of data. The symmetric key is valid for a single use only. If you log out and log in again at another time the server and your browser will create a new unique symmetric key.
Secure Login
User IDs and passwords are isolated from the Internet by being stored on Community Capital Bank’s computer. This way, the passwords and IDs can never be accessed or downloaded by anyone on the Internet. Additionally, user passwords can vary from eight to sixteen characters, which means the chance of randomly guessing a password is less than one in one billion! The system also checks for invalid logins and automatically disallows a user after five invalid attempts. This prohibits the ‘hacker’ from gaining access to our system, thus protecting your accounts.
Your Password
You will be responsible for maintaining one of the most important security measures: your password. When you receive your Community Capital Bank online banking password, be sure to keep it a secret. Memorize it, or write it down and keep it in a safe place. It is not recommended you carry your password in your purse or wallet. Make sure no one watches you enter your password and always close your browser when leaving the computer. Make sure you regularly scan your computer for viruses that could be used to capture password keystrokes. You ultimately hold the key to your password security.”
Multifactor Authentication
An additional layer of security and fraud protection has been added to help prevent identity theft. Now when you signup for Internet banking you will be required to establish a security image and three security questions. Your security image will help to confirm that the website you are visiting is authentic and your password will serve as a second layer of security to verify your identity on non-registered computers. This feature is provided using RSA encryption methods, to ensure that data passing through the Internet is kept secure. Additional facts on RSA encryption can be found at www.rsa.com

Protecting Children’s Privacy Online
Community Capital Bank does not knowingly collect or use personal information from children under the age of 13 without containing verifiable consent from their parents or legal guardians. Community Capital Bank does not retain information entered into these calculators after you leave our web site. The information provided by these calculators is for illustrative purposes only. The data entered or received may vary from your actual loan, mortgage, investment or savings results. Interest rates are hypothetical and are not meant to represent any specific investment. Rates of return will vary over time, particularly for long-term investments. The calculator results are not guaranteed to be accurate and are in no way endorsed, offered or guaranteed by Community Capital Bank.
Protecting Online Applications
Due to the sensitive nature and format of a formal mortgage loan application, Community Capital Bank uses a 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer encryption to insure your privacy is not compromised. Every time you submit a loan application, an authorized bank employee is required to enter a unique encryption password that will decrypt and decompress the file to ensure this sensitive data cannot be intercepted.
Our Security Procedures
We also take steps to safeguard customer information. We restrict access to your personal and account information to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. Employees who violate these standards will be subject to disciplinary measures. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to safeguard your nonpublic personal information.
